How To Beat Summer Acne: 6 Tips To Avoid Pimples In The Heat

0

It’s a fact that we sweat more in the summer. A common misconception is that sweat makes the skin prone to pimples. In fact, it is a combination of sweat mixed with grease, dirt, and bacteria that clog pores and lead to an outbreak. Another reason why irregularities worsen during the summer is the keratolytic effect that the sun has on the skin. This means that when our skin is exposed to sunlight, the rate at which our skin regenerates increases. This, however, has a reverse effect when we get out of the sun, which slows down the process of renewing skin cells. As a result of this slowing down, dead cells are stored on the surface of the skin, which clogs the pores. That’s why it’s important to take care of your skin during the summer to avoid new outbreaks, we present you with 6 tips to help you with that.

1. Change Your Bedding Regularly

When it is hot, we often sweat in our sleep. Changing the pillow at least once a week is mandatory. Also, if you notice that a certain emollient or powder is irritating your skin, be sure to change it. Although these are basic things, sometimes we delay changing the bedding for a day or two, and it is during this period that pimples form.

2. Toning

Using toner during the summer is a good idea for those who care about the size of the pores and the shine that often comes with pimple-prone skin. Toners can be sprayed on the skin as much as necessary – perfect for creating freshness on a hot day. Spray toning instantly provides anti-shine effects and enhances pore closure, as well as soothing and cleansed skin.

3. Wear Cotton Clothes

If pimples appear on the body, they will really not like tight clothes that are not made of natural materials. Choose cotton so that the skin can breathe.

It’s normal to sometimes sweat by accident, we can’t really plan for it. But, if you are going to exercise or go to the city, and it is very hot outside, then you will not need strong make-up. When strong make-up is mixed with dirt and sweat, the skin becomes irritated, and pimples easily spread all over the face.

6. Face And Body Peeling

Face and body peeling will cleanse the skin and remove dead cells from it. You can do it once or twice a week. Do not use strong shower gels, as they can also contribute to irritation. Be gentle with your skin and make sure it is clean.
