1. Love And Appreciate Yourself
The first thing we need in order to build to have self-esteem is self-appreciation. You must be ready to accept yourself for who you are and not fall prey to the pressure of what others want you to be. Take yourself as you are, treat yourself as you want others to do for you.
When you love yourself, others will love you too. Be grateful for what you have and take good care of yourself. Know that- You are unique in every possible way.
2. Do What You Love
It happens that people often tell us to do things in a certain way or to follow certain ideologies. It’s good to listen to others but this may not always be right.
Most of the time you are more creative, productive and confident when you do what you like. And doing such a thing will give you a good feeling and a sense of life. You will want yourself more and thus boost your self-esteem.
3. Write Down Your Good Qualities
Even the most positive people may sometimes feel low. The best way out of this funk is to pen down your positivities and what you are good at. It will help you to acknowledge your strengths and increase your self-esteem when you are going through a bad time.

4. Have A Life Goal
It’s always good to run through your goals every day. It keeps you motivated and geared up, also it doesn’t let the fire in your belly calm down. All this helps you achieve what you want. It’s always good to have small and achievable goals. 6. Ask Yourself, “How Can I Do It”?
If you are having a problem with doing or achieving something, don’t lose hope. Instead of being depressed, ask yourself “how can I do it?” or “how can I get it?” Or “how can I be successful?”
Moulding your mind to think positively, start thinking about achieving the goals rather than being negative and focusing on why you couldn’t achieve it.
7. Help Others
Being happy is the key to having high self-esteem. The level of happiness you feel escalates to another level when you do something for others without expecting payment or reward.
You can have feel pure joy and satisfaction when you help others and you don’t need to be rich or in a position of power to help others. Just make an effort to make someone smile.
These small gestures will help you become more benevolent and enhance your level of self-confidence.
8. Drop Your Negative Friends
Stop being in the company of negative people. These people don’t grow emotionally and will not allow others to flourish. Try to be with proactive, positive people and drop negative minded people if possible.
In most cases, if you always hang out with your negative minded friends, you will eventually become one of them.
9. Compare Your Past With Your Present
Don’t fight the battle of competing with others, compete with yourself instead.
You should first aim to be a better person than you were yesterday. Try to compare your yesterday to your today.
If you find no change then you should know you have to do something about your efforts and not focus on what others are doing.
10. Track Your Habits

Improving your self-esteem is easier said than done; I genuinely believe this but, if you wish to achieve anything in life having some level of self-esteem is mandatory. It is directly proportional to your confidence level and eventually affects how to perform on the stage of life.
We have all got just one life and this need to make it the best. Make sure that no one hampers your self-esteem. Having a healthy self-esteem gives you a positive outlook towards life and thus helps you perform better.
