GTD/Productivity

Yesterday (yes, I''m a bit slow on the uptake!) saw the launch of "Productive!" magazine, a magazine dedicated to... er... Productivity!

Brought to you by the creator of Nozbe, the magazine''s mission:

Productive Magazine is a platform where the top productivity bloggers will share their best productivity principles and tips'n'tricks. Let's help everyone get more done and be more productive!

The bonus is the magazine's a free download!

I've only had a chance to have a quick look through the magazine (some of us do have to work you know) but it looks really well done - it certainly wouldn''t be out of place on the shelves in my local newsagent - and there''s articles with many well known GTD gurus including >David Allen himself and Leo Balbauta of Zen habits.

So, if you''re into productivity (which I guess you must be if you read this blog!) then head on over to "Productive!" magazine and download your free copy.

I was contacted by DocStoc recently asking me to take a look at a new piece of software they've released called DocStoc Sync. I've written before about DocStoc but if you're not familiar with their service, its essentially an online document storage site that allows you to upload documents and store them publically or privately You can also embed documents in webpages as you can with YouTube videos, which is excellent for showing presentations.

DocStoc

Anyway, on to DocStoc Sync. You simply download the program (which works for Mac or PC) and you can set it to watch specific folders or manually add files to your DocStoc account.

This will be really handy for people who are remotely working on projects with others, or if you use different computers in different locations. I know there are tools out there that are similar such as BaseCamp but these are actually quite bad at document management.

I have t....

I was looking through my RSS feeds the other day and I came across a reference to a website I hadn't heard of before and after checking it out I thought it would be something of great use to my readers here. Apologies for not posting where I found out about this site but I can't find it!

Docstoc - Find and Share Professional Documents

Docstoc is an online file exchange/storage site that allows you to upload, share and request a variety of documents in a rage of file formats.

The categories the currently cover are Legal, Business, Financial, Technology, Educational and Creative, with a variety of subcategories under each of these main headings.

  • Before the meeting starts
Have you got everything you need? Hmm, I wonder!
  • During the meeting
What you need to know if you're running it, if you're the secretary and if you're an attendee

The First Download Only (well, at least until the single goes on sale today) Single has hit the UK number one spot

More from "The Register" and "The BBC" and "CNN"

Hmm, the death knell for the old CD...

I should think so at £1.99 for only two tracks! (Or $3.44 for my American Readers)

Google

So Google have launched their new pay-per video download service with little fanfare and that's not surprising.

It sucks.

For a company who has started using AJAX on just about everything, to use a 1990s-style drop down menu to access content is rubbish.

Google, get your backside in gear and make it a proper website!
