Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam!

It was just on the off chance that I noticed two of my older posts had loads of Spam in the comments. I'd set it up to email me whenever someone left a comment on the site and it just so happened that a Spam-bot decided that it was a good idea to leave one. As a result I've changed the way that the comment section works; renaming files, form fields and adding what is called a "Captcha" test. This is supposed to stop the automated robots submitting the form so we'll have to see.
Because of the major re-shuffle things may be a bit broken so if you experience any problems please let me know. I'll be writing a post shortly about managing Spam with ASP once I've made sure it works! Most of the things I've seen to help are aimed at Moveable Type or TypePad which is no good if you're not using them (but they will also be covered) - keep your eyes open over the next couple of days.
