Help! I'm addicted to FaceBook!

I've always seen social networking sites as sort of the "Younger Brother" of more "Grown-Up" internet pursuits such as running your own website and blogging but FaceBook just got me right away. I've managed to find friends from school/university I haven't heard from in years, bought cyber "beer" for people before buying them a real one in the pub and give others the occasional "poke".
It really is the essence of the Internet. Bringing people together from all over the place and allowing them to communicate freely and easily with one another in a manner that's more convienient than say Friends Reunited (which you have to pay for - boo) or hunting people down somehow (stalker anyone?!).
What do you guys think? Is FaceBook a fad or is it here to stay? Oh, and if you like me, please add me as a friend - I'm trying to beat someone else I know and make him jealous! Just do a search for "Katy Whitton" and you should find my ugly cartoonish face staring back at you!
