It's the Little Big Brother's birthday today. I feel really guilty as I'm so skint I haven't been able to buy him a present this year - aren't I an evil Big sister?

I did get him a cheesy card though.... hardly makes up for it does it?

is back from her holidays this evening sometime so I'm sure mayhem will ensue later. Weird things seem to be going on at the moment in The Local and TOP so it'll be interesting to get fresh eyes in both establishments to see if she notices it as well. Or I suppose I could just be being paraniod. At least I've a semi-sane person to knock about with now, the past two weeks have been so incredibly boring. At least television has finally perked up. Channel 4 launched Desperate Housewives on Wednesday at 10pm. I was a bit dubious about it at first as it had been hyped up so much beforehand in various types of newspaper but I was pleasantly surprised at how cleverly scripted and entertaining it was - several parts actually had me laughing out loud, partly because of the tongue in cheek humour but mostly as I recognise most of the characters as they live in my village (I may be one of them but which one I'm not willing to comment ;)). Roll on next week for the second installment. That was really the highlight of a rather dismall week - hopefully the weekend will be slightly more lively.... I wish!
