I installed Outlook 2002 on my PC over the weekend, I don't know why I bothered really as it looks absolutley awful. I'm assuming that they've set the GUI up for Windows XP (I run 98se) and the buttons and icons are awful.
What got me riled up the most was the fact that you
have to register the product either online or via post otherwise it'd only work 50 times!
I suppose if I never turned my computer off or shut the application down it wouldn't matter but as I diligently turn my machine off when I've done with it (to save electricity and therefore the environment, and the fact it interferes with all the tele's in the house) I'd be forced to register at some point - so unfair!
I don't know where Bill Gates gets off with all of this registration rubbish. Okay, I can see that it's there to stop piracy and you don't have to provide any information about you (although this means that you don't get update notifications) but I still fee as though "Big Brother" is watching me.
Add to this all of the Document Rights Management he's added to Office 2003 and pretty soon you're not going to be able to sneeze without him knowing about it.
What a nightmare!

And all of this stuff with poor Mike Rowe from Canada who used the domain name
MikeRoweSoft.com got sued for misleading the public into thinking that his was a microsoft site!

Eh? He's a 17 year old kid for crying out loud! His site bared no resemblance to microsoft at all! At least the Softies backed down on the back of all the public outrage they received! And they gave him an X-Box.
Whoopie Doo!
Suppose I'd better stop my missive against the spawn of Satan himself and do some work!
